Chopped Carbon Fiber

Carbon fiber is widely recognized for its exceptional strength, high modulus, low weight, and outstanding stiffness-to-weight performance. Its combination of mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and corrosion resistance makes it one of the most effective reinforcement materials in modern composite engineering.

Rocket-Fibers’ chopped carbon fibers are precision cut to deliver consistent length, clean fiber geometry, and reliable dispersion within resin systems. Each batch is carefully processed to ensure uniformity and repeatable performance in thermoplastic and thermoset composite applications. Our fibers are coated with an epoxy-compatible sizing to promote strong interfacial bonding, particularly in polyamide and engineering thermoplastic systems.

Available in both standard and intermediate modulus grades, our chopped carbon fibers support applications ranging from prototyping and product development to full-scale commercial production. Custom cut lengths, tailored packaging, and batch-level Certificate of Analysis (COA) documentation with full lot traceability are available upon request.

About This Item

Carbon Fiber Resistance Guide

Carbon fiber boasts a range of exceptional properties that contribute to its widespread use across industries. Its excellent UV resistance allows it to maintain its strength and integrity even under prolonged exposure to sunlight. Furthermore, carbon fiber exhibits a wide temperature range, remaining stable and functional in extreme hot and cold environments. Additionally, its exceptional chemical resistance and compatibility make it resistant to corrosion and degradation, enabling its use in harsh chemical environments without compromising its performance or longevity.

This fiber exhibits poor flame resistance. It is not advisable to use in any application where an open flame is present.

Acid: Excellent resistant to most acids
Alkali: Good resistance to most alkalis
Organic Solvent: Generally compatible with a variety of organic solvents

Continuous Operating Temperature Range (°C): -50 to 300
Short Term Exposure (°C): Up to 500
Degradation Temperature (°C): 700
